Prepare for a Company Registration Consultation

Prepare for a company-registration consultation in Karachi: organise business plans, people, records and questions about scope, costs and next steps.

Corporate records prepared for a company registration consultation

Mir & Khans · Published September 24, 2026

Before discussing company incorporation, put your business plans into a short brief. This helps distinguish decisions you have already made from questions that need professional advice. It also makes it easier to agree what an adviser is being asked to do.

Explain the proposed activity

Describe what the business intends to offer, who its customers are likely to be and whether it is already trading in another form. Use ordinary language. A clear description is more useful for an initial discussion than copying terminology from an unfamiliar form.

List the people expected to be involved and the roles you envisage. Note any questions about ownership, management or future investment, without treating a preliminary plan as a final legal structure.

Separate your decisions from your questions

Prepare two lists. The first should contain confirmed facts: the proposed activity, available records and any steps already taken. The second should contain open questions: the appropriate structure, a proposed name, responsibilities and the assistance you need.

If a name has already been reserved or an application started, mention the reference and the available correspondence. Explain what you want the firm to review rather than assuming it can see an existing application.

Check which guidance is current

SECP’s company-registration guidance refers to eZfile and the Companies Regulations 2024. Use the current official materials when checking the applicable process rather than relying solely on an old downloaded checklist. The requirements for a particular enquiry still need to be checked.

Agree what the engagement includes

  • What advice or preparation is included before a submission?
  • Who supplies and checks the business information?
  • Which professional fees and official charges are included?
  • How are queries or additional work handled?
  • What support, if any, is included after incorporation?

Keep identity documents, signatures and account credentials out of the initial website enquiry. Ask for the appropriate process for providing any supporting materials.
